General Motors has released pricing for the 2014 Buick Lacrosse, giving it a price increase of about $500 over 2013 with a starting MSRP of $34,060 including a $925 destination charge.

The base engine is a 2.4-liter four cylinder E-Assist mild hybrid that makes 182 hp and 172 lb-ft of torque, while there is a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 304 hp available as a no cost option. The small eAssist engine option is pegged at 36 mpg highway, while the larger V6 is EPA rated at 18 city/28 mpg highway for front-wheel drive models and 17/26 mpg for all-wheel drive.

Styling has been revised as well, with the new enhancements including a larger front grille, LED wrap around taillights and LED daytime running lights.

Standard equipment includes the brand’s IntelliLink infotainment system, an eight-inch reconfigurable color cluster display and eight air bags.

More safety technology can be had in the Lacrosse, with the choice of two different option packages. The driver confidence I package includes forward collision alert, blind-spot monitoring, lane change alert, lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert, articulating high-intensity discharge headlights, and a heads-up display for $2,125.

If you want more safety, a driver confidence II package can be added with the purchase of the first safety package, which includes adaptive cruise control, automatic collision prep, and a safety alert seat all for $1,745.

Buyers can now opt for an ultra luxury package as well, which updates the interior with dark stained Tamo Ash wood, a jet black synthetic suede headliner and sangria-colored Semi-Aniline full leather seats. This package is a $2,495 option.
