The 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack will be priced from $26,670 including destination.

This off-road focused Golf SportWagen variant is powered by a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 170 horsepower and 199 pound-feet of torque and will initially be offered with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with a starting price of $27,770. The cheaper model with a six-speed manual transmission will head to dealerships later this year. Available in three trim levels – S, SE and SEL – the 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack will be in dealer showrooms starting next month.

Compared to the Golf SportWagen, the Alltrack model rides 0.6 inches [15.24 mm] higher, giving it a bolder and more capable appearance. The front bumper has been redesigned with an added underbody guard, while a matte aluminum, low-profile radiator grille crossbar extends into the headlights. There is also a lower silver crossbar that incorporates standard foglights to go along with unique black honeycomb grilles.
