Every year hundreds of new cars go on display at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, but over the last few years the high-end and exotic brands have quietly left the show floor. Cars from boutique brands such as Lamborghini and Rolls-Royce may not sell in high numbers, but they are still great eye candy for show attendees. For the last 12 years, the Detroit show has kicked off with a gala premiere called The Gallery. This exclusive event showcases some of the most beautiful and aspirational automobiles that no longer grace the show floor. Those in attendance not only get to ogle the amazing machinery — they can get up close and even get behind the wheel.
