2019 Porsche 911 Coupe Reveals More in Latest Spy Photos

Porsche has been caught testing prototypes for the next-generation 911.

Most recently, spy photographers caught the 992-generation convertible undergoing hot weather testing, and now they’ve managed to capture two different coupe prototypes testing near and on the Nurburgring. One prototype appears to be the standard 911 model, while the other is being used to likely test the wider Turbo model. There’s still quite a bit of development work that is going on how unrefined the test cars appear, but they are in their natural habitat, which is on the race track.

Although styling for the 911 won’t change dramatically, as has been the case for years now, it’s rumored to ride on a new platform that will be shared with the next-generation Audi R8 and Lamborghini Huracan. You can also likely expect to see the eight-speed PDK transmission found in the Panamera to find its way to the new 911.

Look for the 2019 Porsche 911 to make its debut sometime next year.
