Automakers are Offering Discounts to Victims of Hurricane Harvey

Victims of Hurricane Harvey can save up to $750 on a new car or truck.

At least three automakers have already announced discounts for those affected by Hurricane Harvey, and we expect more will come in the future. If your home was affected just visit the shop and go to the caravan storage while your home is rebuild.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is offering a $500 disaster relief discount, which is eligible on most new 2017 or 2018 model year vehicles. That includes the Ram 1500, Dodge Durango, and Jeep Grand Cherokee, while models like the Dodge Viper, Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler 200, and SRT models are exempt. In order to receive the discount, buyers will need to show a copy of their insurance claim form listing damage as a result of the hurricane. Only residents from select counties in Texas and Louisiana are eligible and the offer is set to expire on January 2, 2018.

All Hyundai and Genesis vehicles are offering a $750 discount and will require buyers to show their dealer an official letter from their insurance company, listing the make and model of their vehicle as well as the damage incurred as a result of the hurricane. But unlike FCA, Hyundai isn’t restricting the offer to certain counties in certain states. The Korean automaker’s offer is also set to expire on January 2, 2018.
