The 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt is Likely Debuting Next Week

As rumors have suggested, expect to see a special edition 2018 Ford Mustang Bullitt debuting at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show.

The last time Ford sold a Mustang Bullitt was in 2009, after returning for the 2008 model year, so it’s been nearly a decade since Ford has released a special edition model with the nameplate. But rumors have been swirling for months that a new 2018 Bullitt is on the horizon, just in time for the 50th anniversary of Steve McQueen’s movie, , that features the now iconic Highland Green Mustang GT 390 fastback.

The first Mustang Bullitt was offered in 2001, sporting the same Highland Green finish that was also found on the 2008 and 2009 versions. Expect the 2018 model to get a similar paint shade, along with five-spoke black wheels with a chrome lip — just like what’s in the movie. There should be other minor cosmetic additions, but it’s unclear whether Ford will give the Bullitt a boost in performance.

Expect to learn more next week once the 2018 Detroit Auto Show kicks off, where  will be reporting live.
