This is the Interior of the All-New Mercedes-Benz G-Class

Mercedes-Benz has shared interior photos of its all-new G-Class SUV ahead of its official debut in Detroit next month.

The new G-Class will adopt some of the interior styling cues seen on other Mercedes-Benz vehicles, like the widescreen dashboard display, turbine-style air vents, center console touchpad and door-mounted electric seat controls. There are also some G-Class classics, though, like the passenger side grab handle and metal switches for the differential locks.

Mercedes also promises luxurious materials inside, with open pore wood trim coming standard, along with leather seats. There will also be carbon fiber and metal dashboard trim available. The doors are described as “solid” and retain that clunky, industrial closing sound that has become a hallmark of the G-Class. The multi-contour seats are like those in any other high-end Mercedes vehicle – fully ventilated and heated with massage functionality and electronically adjustable lumbar supports. The optional front Active Multi Contour Seat package is even recommended by the German spinal health organization, which we’re sure are a lively group of folk.

Mercedes will debut the all-new G-Class at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. The SUV will go on sale in the U.S. and Canada sometime in late 2018. Stay tuned to for more information as it becomes available.
