2023 Lamborghini Urus Performante First Look Review: Supercar In Disguise

It wouldn’t be a Performante if it wasn’t faster and more powerful, and Lamborghini has happily obliged. It all starts with the Lamborghini Urus Performante’s engine. Although retaining the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, the Performante makes 657 horsepower at 6,000 rpm (+16 hp) and 627 lb-ft of torque between 2,300 and 4,500 rpm.An eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive help the Urus Performante complete the 0-62 mph run in just 3.3 seconds. That’s three-tenths quicker than the standard Urus. As the speeds rise, the gap widens. The 0-124 sprint takes just 11.5 seconds in the Performante, a full 1.3 seconds quicker than the standard model. The top speed has barely changed, though, with the Urus Performante maxing out at 306 km/h (190.14 mph), just 1 km/h faster than the regular Urus. The new Lamborghini Urus Performante SUV recently broke Bentley’s Pikes Peak record with a time of 10:32.064, easily beating the Bentayga’s 10:49.902. Clearly, the Lambo is as agile as it is powerful. That’s little surprise considering the extent of the modifications over the regular Urus.
