Audi A8 Gets Aggressive New Appearance Package in Europe

Audi A8 Gets Aggressive New Appearance Package in Europe

For years now, the standard A8 has been treated as more of a limousine than anything else, with Audi saving its sports seats and aggressive visual touches for the S8.

But now, that’s set to change.

By the end of January, buyers of the new A8 (in Europe, because they don’t actually sell the new one here) will be able to fit their car with sports seats as well as a range of exterior visual upgrades.

Starting at the front, the sport exterior package will feature an aluminum clip below the grille and clear surrounds around the air inlets. The side sills will also widen as they approach the wheel.

The back bumper will also be changed, with rhombus-grille inserts and a contrasting diffuser. At the sides, an aluminum strip will highlight the body’s lower edging.

Inside, meanwhile, new sports seats will have a visually integrated headrest—though it can still be electrically adjusted. And to keep you in place, the seat will have pneumatic adjusting back rest and bolsters. Finally, to keep you warm, the armrest will be heated.

The package also heralds the arrival of Daytona gray as an exterior color, with the sport pack exterior package available for 1,950 euros on the Audi A8 50 TDI. The sport seats, meanwhile can be ordered on any A8 for 4,520 euros.
