Spy photographers have already caught the 2019 Hyundai Veloster undisguised, but that’s not stopping the Korean automaker from teasing its new hatch.
Teased in an official video titled “Live Loud,” it gives us our first listen at what the new Veloster will sound like as it appears Hyundai is embracing the sporty nature of the model. The next-generation Hyundai Veloster rides on a slightly longer version of the platform currently underpinning the Elantra. Along with the previous spy photos, we can see the Veloster will retain its unique styling while sporting Hyundai’s new single-frame corporate grille.

Although it’s been unconfirmed that lurks under the hood, there’s a few possibilities like the automaker’s 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine or a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated unit. There’s even a chance the performance ‘N’ model will feature the i30 N’s powerful, 270 hp 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.
Expect more details on the 2019 Hyundai Veloster in the coming weeks as it gets ready for its premiere at the 2018 Detroit Auto Show in January.
