The 2018 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid is getting a $4,050 price cut.

Sporting a refreshed design, the 2018 Acura RLX gets updated front and rear styling featuring the company’s new signature diamond pentagon grille. The sedan’s lineup has been simplified with just two models available, starting with the base RLX P-AWS starting from $55,865 including destination. The top-trim RLX Sport Hybrid is priced from $62,865, marking a reduction of $4,050 compared to the outgoing model with the Advance Package.

Along with the updated exterior, there are all-new seats available in Espresso leather along with two premium exterior paint options available for the first time on the RLX.

The standard 2018 Acura RLX P-AWS is powered by a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 engine with 310 horsepower and 272 pound-feet of torque, while the Sport Hybrid version integrates a V6 with three electric motors and Super Handling All-Wheel Drive. The total system output is 377 hp and 341 lb-ft of torque, making the RLX Sport Hybrid the most powerful Acura after the NSX supercar. In fact, the Sport Hybrid’s powertrain shares its basic concept with the NSX supercar.

Fuel economy figures for the RLX P-AWS are 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway for a 23-mpg combined rating, while the Sport Hybrid returns 28 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway for a 28-mpg combined rating.
