Hyundai brought a refreshed 2018 Sonata to the Big Apple.

Following the mantra of “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” the 2018 Hyundai Sonata doesn’t boast any major changes but the front end is much more pronounced with a larger mesh grille. The Korean automaker also gave its turbocharged four-cylinder engine an eight-speed automatic transmission, ditching the previous six-speed unit. The chassis itself has been refined to improve ride and handling, with Hyundai saying the recalibrated steering should also be more responsive.

Other changes to the sedan’s styling include LED daytime running lights, available adaptive LED headlights, a sharper tail light design, larger rear badge that hides the trunk release button, chrome accents and new wheel designs.

Pricing and availability for the 2018 Hyundai Sonata have not been announced.
