Arnold Schwarzenegger Gets an All-Electric 489-HP Hummer H1

Arnold Schwarzenegger seems to have a thing for monstrous electric SUVs.

Earlier this year in January, actor and former California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger took to social media to show off his new all-electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The conversion was done by Kreisel Electric in Austria, which has now rolled out the first all-electric Hummer H1 for Arnold.

The company said it developed the electric Hummer H1 in just two months’ time and it features high-performance batteries from Kreisel Electric with a 100-kWh capacity. There are two electric motors on the front and back axles, offering a combined system output of about 489 horsepower.

As expected, the electric Hummer H1 weighs quite a bit, tipping the scales at 7,275 pounds (3,300 kilograms). Still, it has a range of about 186 miles (300 kilometers) and is capable of reaching speeds up to 75 mph (120 km/h).

The unveiling the vehicle happened as Kreisel Electric opened a new development and manufacturing center in Rainbach, Mühlkreis district.

“With our electrified prototypes, we want to show what is possible using Kreiseltechnology. We will certainly not mass-produce these models. But our Hummer is a powerhouse in wolf’s clothing, one that drives so quietly even the sheep are not disturbed,” said Markus Kreisel, one of the founders of Kreisel Electric.
