Aston Martin: You Better Not Sell Your Valkyrie Build Slot

Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer has made it very clear the automaker does not want customers selling their reserved spot for the Valkyrie hypercar.

With just 150 units to be built, demand for the Valkyrie will almost certainly exceed availability. It would make sense for one of the lucky few who has one of the cars reserved to sell their build slot to make a quick buck, but Aston strongly advises against doing so.

First reported by , Aston Martin CEO Andy Palmer replied to a tweet on Twitter in regards to someone trying to sell their Valkyrie spot. According to Palmer, if the company identifies who is trying to flip, they will lose the car. If they do manage to flip the car, then they will never get another special Aston Martin model.

Palmer also said any customer who defies them will be barred from ever buying another special edition Aston Martin ever again. We imagine that means you’d be blacklisted from not only hypercars like the Valkyrie, but limited-run models such as the Vantage AMR Pro and Rapide AMR Pro.

I doubt they have a slot, but if they do and we identify who flipped, they lose the car. If they flip, then they never get another special.

A build slot was listed for sale through by Dubai-based dealership Knight International, which is what prompted Palmer’s reply. The executive seems doubtful Knight actually has a Valkyrie build slot, but considering the dealer also has a Pagani Zonda R, Ferrari FXX-K and Gumpert Apollo N in stock, it seems possible they actually have a Valkyrie reserved. At least they did before this happened.
