Cadillac XT4 Spotted With Production Styling Cues on Display

The Cadillac XT4 has been photographed testing with some production-ready styling cues on display.

The XT4 prototype was caught undergoing tests somewhere in Michigan. Like other XT4 prototypes we’ve spotted, this vehicle was covered in some secret concealing camo, but certain aspects of the design can still be distinguished. There’s also a tear in the camo covering the left rear taillight, allowing us to get a good look at the vertically-mounted light fixture. The production grille can also be seen poking through the camouflage and is flanked by vertically-mounted headlamps on either side.

The XT4 will ride on General Motors’ modular C1XX platform. Under the hood will be Cadillac’s 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which makes around 270 hp in the ATS and CTS sedans. A nine-speed automatic transmission should be on the table as well, and all-wheel drive will likely be standard. As far as in-car tech goes, expect the latest version of Cadillac CUE along with a large range of active and passive safety features.

We’re expecting the Cadillac XT4 to make its debut sometime later this year – likely at the 2018 New York auto show in late March.
