Check Out the Interior of the Four Door AMG GT

The four-door Mercedes-AMG GT has been spied once again, but this time photographers managed to catch a glimpse of the sedan’s interior.

The prototype goes light on the camouflage and as such, it’s easy to visualize much of the four-door AMG GT’s design. Interestingly, the vehicle was photographed with its active rear spoiler deployed, which looks to be similar or the same as the active spoiler on the AMG GT. The sedan has been rumored to be called the GT4, but reports indicate it won’t adopt that name and will instead be called something else.

These photos give us our first look at the AMG GT four-door’s interior. Like almost every other new Mercedes, the sedan will adopt the dual-display layout for the dash and infotainment screen. It will also feature circular A/C vents located just below the infotainment screen, along with a sport steering wheel with a 12 o’clock marking. A black cover is draped over the rest of the interior, concealing the center console and dash.

Last year Mercedes unveiled its AMG GT Concept last year, a concept version of the AMG sedan featuring a hybrid powertrain. The concept made a massive 805 horsepower from its 4.0-liter V8 engine and electric motor – a combo that will make its way into the production version, though perhaps with slightly less power on tap. The hybrid version likely won’t be available from launch, however, with the non-hybrid V8 expected to be the only model offered initially.

The AMG GT four-door is expected to make its debut at the 2018 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in early January. Stay tuned for more info as we have it.
