Who doesn’t want to go off-road in a Porsche?
Listed on JamesEdition, this 1978 Porsche 911 Safari features a Martini livery and sports 88,235 miles (142,000 kilometers) on the odometer. But where did the idea of an off-roading Porsche 911 come from you might ask? It’s the brainchild of Erik Brandenburg, who competed in the 2007 Rally Transsyberia with a 911 just like this. Brandenburg not only surprised the competition, but took home a class win and ninth-place overall. After the event, Brandenburg decided to create three copies and this is one of them.

Power comes from a 3.2-liter Carrera with has 230 horsepower, which may seem a bit underpowered. But gearing has been modified for better acceleration, while it rides on massive 215/85 off-road tires and a set of 16-inch Fuchs wheels. Giving it its height is a set of rally-spec Bilstein coilovers, while the wheel arches have been revised to accommodate the extra wheel travel. There is also, of course, stainless steel panels underneath the body for protection.
The asking price is a solid € 129,900 ($148,948 USD) and it’s being offered in Tienen, Belgium.
