Honda Urban EV Concept Video, First Look

This might be our favorite car of the show.

While German automakers like BMW, Audi, and Mercedes-Benz are impressing the crowd at Frankfurt with futuristic concepts packed to the brim with technology, Honda is taking a different route. The new design study is called the Honda Urban EV Concept and truthfully we would take it as it is. It rides on an all-new platform that houses a lightweight battery pack and integrated heat-management system, but unfortunately, Honda is keeping quiet about the powertrain.

The subcompact concept measures nearly four inches (100 millimeters) shorter than the Honda Fit in the U.S., making it about 160 inches and ideal for urban city driving. Like the exterior, the cabin features retro-inspired details, with two bench seats. There’s a modern touch however, with a large screen spanning the dash and smaller displays mounted on the door panels to show video feeds from the exterior mirrors.
