One Company is Making a Tesla Model S Shooting Brake

Dutch coachbuilder RemetzCar has announced it will make a Tesla Model S ‘shooting brake’ wagon.

Originally commissioned by a Dutch shooting brake collector, RemetzCar is planning a limited series of 20 units, with the vehicle debuting in the first week of March 2018. Helping design the Tesla Model S shooting brake is Dutch designer Niels van Roij, who runs an independent automotive design firm in the U.K.

The company says it began production of the first unit recently and order books for the shooting brake are open with deposits taken.

RemetzCar has only released a teaser image of a sketch for the Model S shooting brake, but it appears to be more than just added some length to the rear of the car. Expect it to be a bit like the Porsche Panamera Sport Turismo with a reshaped side profile.

It’s a possibility RemetzCar’s Model S shooting brake will bow at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, given the time frame of its reveal for the first week of March.
