A pair of photos reportedly revealing the new BMW 8 Series Concept have hit the internet before they were supposed to.

The car will officially be revealed at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este on May 26, but these photos from spoil the surprise. And although we can’t confirm that these images are legitimate, the lines on the car seen here certainly seem to match up with what we saw in teaser images.

As expected, the 8 Series is a stylish two-door coupe that sports a large twin-kidney grille flanked by nice slender headlights. Lightweight alloy wheels seem to be fitted to the car, along with a set of huge brake rotors and calipers.

From the back, the 8 Series has a gently sloping roofline and an integrated spoiler while a dual exhaust system is neatly tucked into the rear bumper.

Plenty of rumors about what will power the new 8 Series have been circulating, with a 6.6-liter V12 being one of the options. A turbocharged V8 is also likely part of the conversation.

A pile of names for the new 8 Series, including 825, 835, 850, 860, M8 and M850, have all been trademarked in the U.S.

The BMW 8 Series is expected to launch sometime in 2018 and will replace the 6 Series Coupe.
