Poll: Porsche 911 Turbo S or Acura NSX?

Poll: Porsche 911 Turbo S or Acura NSX?

Which exotic car would you rather own?

Do you prefer Germany’s finest, the Porsche 911 Turbo S, or the latest from Japan, in the form of Acura’s legendary NSX? Both provide ridiculous speed with outrageous style, but only one can come out on top in this poll!

Starting with the Porsche, in coupe form it can reach 60 miles an hour in just 2.8 seconds, a figure that’s simply stupefying. Enabling that speed is a 3.8-liter flat-six that’s, per tradition, mounted in the rear. With larger turbochargers for 2017, horsepower measures an impressive 580. Additionally, it provides up to 553 lb.-ft. of twist (when the over-boost function is enabled). A seven-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission routes torque to the asphalt through an advanced all-wheel-drive system.

Not to be outgunned, Acura has done its homework with the NSX. This reborn exotic from the far east features a hybrid powertrain centered around a twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6. A triad of electric motors boosts output and provides all-wheel traction, with two of them spinning the car’s front tires. All told, this machine is rated at 573 horsepower and 476 lb.-ft. of torque. A nine-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox helps enable zero-to-60 runs in as little as 2.9 seconds!

Performance-wise, these two cars are all over each other like glaze on a doughnut. Fuel economy is also equally matched, with both cars averaging 21 miles per gallon according to the U.S. EPA. If one of them has a significant advantage it’s the Acura, which starts at around $157,000; the Porsche is considerably richer, kicking off at roughly $190,000.

So, which of these supercars do YOU prefer, the 911 Turbo S or NSX? Please, compare them here for even more information and make sure to vote in our poll!
