Audi TT Spied Testing a Facelift in Europe

The Audi TT is due for a facelift and the car was spied testing its new refresh.

Even though the TT RS is a relative newcomer to the showroom, the current TT has been prowling the pavement since 2014 and it’s due for a slight nip n tuck to keep up with the corporate march of fashion.

It looks like the TT’s grille may have grown slightly larger, the air intakes seem to have received a slight reprofiling, and the LED design embedded in the headlamps has been redrawn. The side sills have been made more prominent, but barely, and the rear looks to be near identical, save for a redesign of the rear LED pattern.

Based on the car’s grille and rear wing, it’s believed this is a development mule for the TT RS, however, it’s conspicuously missing the characteristic oval tailpipes. Complicating the situation, oval piped TT mules were also spotted but they didn’t have the matching rear wing.

It’s unclear if Audi plans to improve upon the five-cylinder pocket rocket’s 400-horsepower output, nor if there are significant interior upgrades planned.
