Jaguar and Land Rover Offering Winter Driving Program with New and Vintage Cars

You can now get behind the wheel of a classic Jaguar or Land Rover vehicle on the ice in the Arctic Circle.

Held at the British automaker’s winter testing facility in Arjeplog in northern Sweden, the Classic Ice Driving program allows drivers to experience the thrill of driving classic Jaguar models like the XJ, MKII, MKVII and XK150 or icons from Land Rover such as the Series I, Series II, Series III and Range Rover Classic.

In addition to experiencing classic models on the ice, customers also have the opportunity to try out some of the brand’s modern products like the F-Pace, F-Type and Range Rover Sport.

The Jaguar Land Rover Classic Ice Academy runs the course of three days with experiences starting early 2017. Prices start from €3,000 ($3,380 U.S./$4,370 Canadian) and includes two nights accommodation at the Hotel Silverhatten, VIP transfers on arrival from Arvidsjaur Airport and the professional ice driving tuition. Flights are not included in the package price.

In related news, Jaguar Classic also announced that a new tire package for the classic XJ220 sports car has been developed in collaboration with Pirelli. The new tire features a bespoke P Zero design that is perfectly suited to the unique characteristics of the XJ220.
