Poll: Nissan Maxima or Chevrolet Impala?

The Nissan Maxima and Chevrolet Impala are two popular large sedans. Which one would YOU rather make monthly payments on?

The 2016 Maxima is Nissan’s uniquely sporty take on a four-door vehicle. Unlike rival models, this vehicle features sports-car styling and a powerful engine. A 3.5-liter VQ-V6 motivates this muscular machine. It puts out a stout 300 horses and 261 lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable automatic is the only transmission available. It may lack proper gears, but it maximizes fuel economy, returning up to 30 miles per gallon highway.

Differing slightly from its Japanese rival, the Chevrolet Impala offers a choice of engine. The base unit is a fairly forgettable 2.5-liter four-cylinder that puts out 196 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of twist. The propulsion unit you really want is the optional 3.6-liter V6. With direct fuel injection it cranks out 305 horses and 264 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission is the sole gearbox offered.

So, which of these large sedans do you prefer? Well, helping you decide, here’s where you can compare each of these highly competitive sedans.
