US Postal Service Celebrates Pickups with New Stamps

The United States Postal Service (USPS) is commemorating the pickup truck with a new set of ‘Forever’ stamps that will be released in mid-July.

The set will officially be revealed on July 15 at the 2016 Syracuse Nationals car show taking place at the New York State fairgrounds. The limited-edition set of stamps will show four different trucks ranging from the 1930s to the 1960s, including: a 1938 International Harvester D-2, a 1948 Ford F-1, a 1953 Chevrolet and a 1965 Ford F-100.

Booklets of 20 will be sold at equal value to current Forever series first-class mail stamps, which currently sell for 47 cents each.

A number of automobiles have found their way onto stamps in the past few years as the USPS decided to celebrate both American muscle and hot rods. Past stamps have featured the 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevelle, 1970 Plymouth Barracude, 1967 Ford Mustang and more.
