Chevy Silverado High Desert Revealed Packing Bed Storage Bins

Chevy is once again adding to its stable of special edition Silverado half-ton pickups with the new High Desert. 

Available on all LT, LTZ and High Country trims, the new package combines both unique style and a new cargo system that features lockable, water-resistant storage bins mounted over the steel of the bed walls. The bed cargo bins are installed along with a three-piece tonneau cover which also features a cargo divider.

GM’s magnetic ride control suspension is also now available on the Silverado High Desert in High Country trim, a setup that was previously only available on GMC models.

High Desert buyers will get 20-inch wheels with all-season tires mounted, while 22-inch wheels are available.

“It’s ideal for those customers who want both the security of a lockable cargo area, as well as the flexibility of a pickup truck bed,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet truck marketing.
