There are plenty of flagship luxury sedans to choose from but two of the best on the market today are the Cadillac CT6 and BMW 7 Series. Which one would YOU rather own?
The 2016 Cadillac CT6 is the crest brand’s newest sedan effort and the alpha four-door in their product range. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard but drivers can choose between three different powerplants. There’s a base four-cylinder and a mid-range V6, but the one you really want is a twin-turbo six-shooter. This engine delivers 404 horses and 400 lb-ft of twist. All-wheel drive is standard.
The updated 7 Series benefits from a lightweight structure that incorporates quite a bit of mass-slashing carbon fiber. Under the hood, drivers have two engines to choose from. The “base” unit is a more-than-adequate 3.0-liter inline six. Thanks to turbocharging it delivers a stout 320 horsepower and a zero-to-60 time of 5.4 seconds. For customers that want more, you can also get a force-fed V8 that’s good for 445 ponies and a mile-a-minute dash of just 4.7 seconds.
